current system CPU usage, free physical and virtual
memory available and a physical memory usage history
to better keep track of how your memory is being
used, etc.
Manual Optimization
Use this option if you want to manually start a
free-up process. Free-up memory to ensure that all
programs can run at full speed and efficiency. A
free-up can take some time, depending on the amount
of memory you are trying to free. While the program
is working a progress bar is displayed to keep you
updated of the optimization progress.
You can adjust the amount of memory to free-up in
1MB steps by using the appropriate slider.
Automatic Optimization
With Automatic Optimization, Memory Booster can
monitor your system and automatically optimize it
when needed without interrupting your work.
If the "Automatic Optimization" box is checked
Memory Booster the following options are available:
Optimize automatically at xx MB of free memory
When memory reaches the value specified, Memory
Booster will kick in and try to increase the free
memory to the value specified on the "Increase free
memory to xx MB" option.
Increase free memory to xx MB
This is the target amount of memory that Memory
Booster will try to reclaim, when the Automatic
Optimization is working.
Don't auto-recover unless CPU usage is below xx %
usage
This option prevents Memory Booster from kicking in
automatically when your PC (and typically, you) are
busy.
The Statistics provide a general overview of the
Memory, CPU and resources available on your
computer.

Hotkeys
Memory Booster will perform a memory recovery

regardless of what application you are in (assuming
Memory Booster is currently running). To change the
hotkey, which by default is CTRL-ALT-M, click in the
text control. You may then press the key combination

key combination must include CTRL and ALT. |

Monitor refresh time
The monitor refresh time adjusts the time it takes
to refresh charts, memory, CPU usage and tray-icon
updates that are regularly made by the program. A
short update time gives you a very accurate view of
memory and CPU usage in the last few seconds. A
longer refresh time gives you a longer term
overview. We advise a setting of 2 seconds. |

Process

shows all the programs currently running on your
